April : A Summary

Hello guys, as I promised in the previous post, I will try to write a summary on what happened during a whole month. So, today is the last day of April. Before that, happy belated birthday to all April babies πŸ₯³πŸ₯³

Basically, nothing much happened in this month. rather than it’s like the last month of us to be a second year of medical students at my university. This is the last month where we enter our lecture hall, learning new stuff and all that, the last month of entering the Dissection Hall to see all those cadavers to identify all the structures in anatomy class. Last month of having tutorials, lab sessions and all that. It’s kinda sad when you realise how fast time flies.

It feels like yesterday when I say that I really want this first 2 years to end really quickly as I am soo sick of it and yes, now here I am. Reminiscing all those memories for the past two years. This two crucial years is very important as it’s the fundamental, the A B C in medicine to be honest. If you can’t appreciate all those normal physiology and anatomy of your body, how can you tell whether your body has any problems or not? That’s what makes it really really important for us to grab all this “normal” knowledge before we enter the “disease” year next year.

Btw, we are in the middle of our study week right now. Fortunately, we have two weeks of study week for us to recap and recall on what had we learned so far for the past two years because this time around, the Professional Exam will covers all the topics from the first semester until fourth semester. It’s really tough and a lot to study. But here I am, updating this blog post as if i don’t have any upcoming exam, how stupid am I right? Whatever.

A night to be remember - 20 April 2019

One of the highlights for this month is the i-Microb ‘19 competition which is the intervarsity microbiology quiz challenge 2019. It was a quiz competition organised by our 3rd year medical students. It had been our official annual competition for the past three years. I am more than grateful to be part of the committee members even though I don’t help much during the event. But yeah, I am happy that I got to know more about my seniors. I love to see and observe how ones can solve and handle the rising problem because it kinda reflect on your personality a bit I think (?) I don’t know. It’s just I can spend a lil bit of my time with them before they enter the clinical years. It would be hard for us (the juniors) to meet and see all those seniors in the clinical years because they won’t be wandering around the faculty anymore ☹️ I always look forward to spend my time with seniors because I know that I can learn a lot from them.

Thank you so much, you know who you are πŸ˜‰

To all my friends who are struggling right now, I know and I believe we all can pass through this difficulties. Allah said in Quran “Verily in every difficulties will come along some eases”  {94:5}. I always look up at our seniors. I always believe that, if they can pass their professional exams, why can’t we? They all have been through what we are having right now, they know how are we feeling right now. They know. That’s what makes me idolise them a lot. I believe there is always some reasons behind in every single person that we met. All of them will taught us something. Despite all that, He knows, Allah knows what is in our heart right now. Never give up on asking Him on what you want. Insya-Allah.

In conclusion, I hope you guys can pray for us to pass our upcoming professional exams so all of us can enter our third year. Not to forget to pray for our seniors too !!! Pray for the best, for all of us. Aminnn. Before I forget, let’s pray that we all can benefit ourselves during Ramadan this year insyaAllah as Ramadan is approaching really soon. Bless us Allah. That’s all from me, see you guys again next time.
